FAQ

Everything You Need to Know

How do I deal with high altitude?

We recommend spending 1-2 days in Shimla/Manali for acclimatization before reaching Kaza. Our staff is trained in handling altitude-related issues, and we provide oxygen support if needed. Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol during your first few days.

What's the best route to reach Kaza?

There are two routes: via Manali (open June-October) and via Shimla (open year-round). The Shimla route is longer but helps with acclimatization. We can arrange transportation from both locations.

What's the food like?

Spiti is a remote location, and hence the supply of fresh vegetables and other products are limited, howevery we try and do our best. We serve a mix of Indian, Tibetan, and Continental cuisine. Our restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients, and we can accommodate special dietary requirements with advance notice.

Is the property Open winter ?

No, We are Closed from Nov-April. Winters are harsh (-20°C to -30°C) but offer a unique experience. Homestay's are open during this time and you can reach out to homestay's if you are planning for Winter.
